Success

Hello Blog Buddies!
Well… As I sit here and write I am stuffing my face with fiber trying to reach my calories. Today has not been a good day eating wise. I haven’t had much of an appetite at all which put me under my goals for today, but only by 100 or so calories. Days like these are a bit of a struggle which is why I wanted to share with you all the good things from the past few days.

My calorie goal each day is 1,920+. Compared to my few hundred that I was eating this is a big difference. You can only imagine how my poor belly is reacting to this amount of food. Yup stomach aches! Ouch! The first couple of days was rough, but yesterday was great. I woke up feeling great, started eating like a mad woman, and when I closed out at the end of the day I finally got to see the awesome results!!! The first time I didn't have to read, "and was under her calorie goal." Believe it or not I was actually over by about 50.

The first couple of days on this new diet I wanted to through my phone. Every night when I would add my diary to the log it would tell me, "If every day were like today you would lose weight." Just what I want to see, very encouraging fitness pal, but I knew I would conquer eventually! Here are the pics from the past three days, as you can see each one telling me I would gain weight. The first night I saw that whopping 95.9lbs I went running to my husband with excitement and just about cried. haha And it will continue to go up as I put in my new weight (which will be Sunday!)

Okay, so I've finished my fiber one bar and this post, so now to get a good nights rest and start all over tomorrow. (fingers crossed) Thank you all for your love and support. I love the comments and messages I've been getting! Keep em' coming!

My Journey

The Before:

“Skinny Minny,” something that a lot of people long to hear, a nickname I’ve had my entire life, a nickname I dread: but one that unfortunately defines exactly who I am (Underweight, unhealthy, etc. etc.) One not meant to be offensive, but in most cases is. A name I’ve grown to hate; but with this hatred comes an overwhelming desire to become healthy once again, a want to feel comfortable in my own body and to feel that self confidence that every woman wants to feel.
Welcome to my journey! A journey that will most definitely be difficult to accomplish, and bring many frustrations, as it already has: but one that will bring much satisfaction. Here’s to a healthy life.

My Goal:

As a Christian woman my main goal in life is to serve and honor my God. With sickness and tiredness constantly getting in the way of that goal, I feel I cannot do this to the best of my ability. So… a goal I’ve created for myself comes with two parts:
          #1. Become physically fit
                   *gain 20lbs in 40 weeks
By doing this I will be at a healthy weight for my height, have more energy and a stronger immune system.
          #2. Become spiritually fit
*gain 20 books in 40 weeks
Reading 20 books of the Bible in 40 weeks will help me maintain a healthy relationship with God, become stronger in my Christian walk and work to honor Christ.

For the next 40 weeks I will blog my progress, post recipes and share verses from Gods Word.
I encourage you to embark on this journey with me. As I don’t have an actual trainer I can use all the help and encouragement I can get from my friends and family.

Any tips or tidbits you have from living a healthy life style or things you’ve found to help you, please share!
